Coloring Instructions

1. Using pink ink, stamp image onto a 3½ x 4¼-inch piece of white smooth cardstock.

2. Using scrap paper, stamp image again with black ink to use as reference image.

3. Apply B21 and YG03 onto plastic palette. Using a waterbrush filled with Colorless Blender solution, pick up color from plastic palette. Referring to photo, apply color to image.

4. Add texture to colored areas using cloth dampened with Colorless Blender solution.

5. Color leaves with YG03, YG99 and YG95.

6. Color flowers with R00 and RV11.

7. Add BV20 to shadowed areas on flowers. Smooth out with R00.

8. Add flower centers with YR31 and BV20.

9. Use T6 to place small lines in the darkest areas of the bird.

10. Apply flicks of T2, T8, T6 and T4 to the bird. Add T10 in very fine lines in the shadowed areas for definition.

11. Use E08, E97 and E09 to blend colors on the bird’s chest. Use E97 in the darkest areas. Use E09 to add texture using a dotting stroke. Do not blend smooth.

12. Add Opaque White pigment to the eyes using a very fine paintbrush or toothpick.

13. Color the beak with Y35 and add BV20 for shadow.

14. Color the legs with E08 and W4. Add T6 to the shadows.
